Two More 2020 Penguins Commit to Division II Schools

The Penguins are proud to announce that 2020 players Jabes Escalante and Tucker Crowley have committed to play Division II college lacrosse. Escalante, an attackman/midfielder from Boston has committed to play at Post University. Crowley, a midfielder from Lexington has committed to Bentley University.

Tucker has been a member of the Penguins throughout high school, and has been a consistent top midfielder for them. He had a stellar fall, which saw him lead the Penguins to a championship game at the Colonial Clash tournament. For the past 4 years, the Penguins have relied on Tucker for his incredible playmaking from the midfield. A threat to both score and feed, he was consistently making great plays for the Penguins. While Tucker excels on the offensive end, he is also a top defensive midfielder, and great in transition. Penguins 2020 Coach Alex Bunick says, “Tucker was one of our hardest working and most skilled players. Tucker consistently came to practice, worked hard, and improved his game to get to where he is today. We are really proud of Tucker and his commitment to Bentley!”. Tucker will be joining former Penguins Cam Egan (’17), Owen Hunter (’17), Kiras Persky (‘17), and Ryan Birch (’18) at Bentley. Also, Tucker’s 2020 Penguins Coach, Brendan Grant is a Bentley alum, class of 2012. Tucker will also be a captain for Lexington High School this year as a senior.

Jabes Escalante has committed to Division II Post University, to play for former Penguins coach Anthony Fitti. Jabes has come on strong in the past few years as a top attackman and midfielder. Jabes strength and shot have been a consistent threat to opposing defenses. Recently, Escalante began playing more in the midfield, and has been a nightmare matchup for short stick defenders. Escalante has worked really hard on his game, improving tremendously in his past three years with the Penguins. Coach Bunick said “Jabes has been awesome to coach. He always works extremely hard and does it with a smile on his face. Watching his game develop these past few years has been amazing, and it has been a pleasure to coach him. I think he will have success at Post under Coach Fitti!” Escalante will join former Penguins John Carr (’18), Brendan Kelleher (’19), and Martin Silverman (’19) at Post.
