Penguins Alumni wrapped up the 2022 college season and several players were selected as All-Conference for their teams. Representing the Little East Conference (NCAA Division III), Commonwealth Coast Conference (NCAA Division III), and NE10 (NCAA Division II).
Penguins 2018 Team
Ryan Birch — Bentley University (NCAA Division II) — 3rd Team NE10
Birch finished the season third in points with a balanced stat line of 18 goals and 19 assists. As a captain of the Falcons this season, Birch led the team to the NE10 Semifinals where they lost to Adelphi 15-10.
Darragh Fahey — UMass Boston (NCAA Division III) — 1st Team LEC
Fahey finished the season with an impressive 69 points which was good for third on the team. The Beacons won their second consecutive LEC Championship this season beating Keene State in an epic 4OT game.
Scott Ehrenberg — Nichols College (NCAA Division III) — 3rd Team CCC
Ehrenberg went 60% for the face-off x leading the Bison to the CCC Tournament Semi-finals where they were down by eventual league champion WNEU.
Penguins 2019 Team
Tyler Koppy — UMass Boston (NCAA Division III) — 2nd Team LEC
Koppy recorded a 13-1 record and 55% save percentage behind 140 saves on the year. Koppy was dynamic in cage and helped lead the team to their second consecutive LEC Championship
Luke Murphy — Tyler Koppy — UMass Boston (NCAA Division III) — 1stTeam LEC
Murphy had 29 points, 45 GB’s and 15 CT’s as the primary SSDM for the Beacons. Murphy was all over the field and scored the game winning goal in 4OT LEC Championship game to propel the Beacons to the NCAA Tournament.
