Penguins named to the team include Ralph Grillone III – Penguins 2016, Matt Galligan and Jimmy Lysko – Penguins 2017, and Seth Child – Penguins 2018.

Sophomore will be elected captain next year and is three-year starter. … Contributed 46 goals and 20 assists in 16 games. Junior captain goalie is two-year starter who had 165 saves, 54.8 save percentage, 7.55 GAA. … Two-time all-scholastic. … Two-time CCL All-Star. … Plays on the hockey team (defense). … Most memorable moment was winning first round of the tournament. … Favorite athlete is Tom Brady. … Favorite class is math. … Chosen to represent school in Boston’s Sept. 11 Memorial Event. … “Matt represents the growth of the Cardinal Spellman lacrosse programhas seen over the last few years. Our back-to-back tournament appearances and league title this year are things that would not have been possible without the excellent play Matt gave us in each and every game,” coach Ralph Grillone Jr. said.

Senior captain was four-year starter. … Scored 51 points (36 goals, 15 assists) in only 13 games. … Had 99 career goals. … Hockomock League All-Star. … Eastern Mass. All-Star. … Two-time Oliver Ames lacrosse MVP. … Most memorable moment was scoring game-winning goal in double overtime against Whitman-Hanson to get into playoffs. … Ran cross country. … Played for Laxachusetts and NESLL. … Favorite athlete is Tom Brady. … Favorite class is AP world history. … Enjoys art and working out. … Will play club lacrosse and join Marine ROTC at George Washington University.
