Penguins 2022 Orange – Jordan Damske

The Penguins 2029/30 team had a excellent weekend going 3-1 overall. The team started the tournament strong with a pair of emphatic wins against the Kings and Coyotes. Sunday would bring on the semi-finals with a rematch against a very strong RI Bulldog team. The first half was all tied up but the Bulldogs pulled away to secure the victory. The team ended Sunday with another energizing win against the Kings.

“I thought the team had a great week of practice and leading up to this tournament I was excited to compete. The team played hard in some intense heat and I was proud of how we battled all weekend. We had a strong effort out of Evan and Bobby in the net. Walter came out with some great face-off wins and DJ paced our offense. Overall I was proud of how the team played and excited to keep progressing this summer.”

Coach Jason Wellemeyer

The Penguins 2027/28 team went 4-1 overall and earned a trip to their second consecutive championship game this summer.  During pool play, the team had decisive victories against the Kings, Little Necks, and CT Wolves. They played 2Way North in the semi-finals and would go on to lose to East Bay Lacrosse in the Championship game.

Being able to compete in two championship games this summer has been a positive step forward for our team. Stephen played great in the cage and our defense did an excellent job all weekend. It was a lot of lacrosse in some extreme heat but overall a great tournament for us.
