16 Penguins Alumni competing in NCAA Tournament

Brackets for Division I, II, and III NCAA Men’s Lacrosse were released this past Sunday and the Penguins program has 15 Alumni competing in the Tournament across four teams.

Brown University – Division I — Adrian Enchill (Penguins 2017)

The Bears were awarded the #8 seed and will have a first round game against UVA who are the 2021 defending National Champions. Game will be played on 05/14 at 7:30PM and link to full DI bracket can be found HERE.

UMass Boston – Division III — Luke Murphy (Penguins 2019) + 10 other Penguins Alumni)

The Beacons secured their spot in the Division III tournaments bracket with a thrilling 7-6 quadruple OT victory against the Keene State Owls in the LEC Conference Championship. Luke Murphy scored the clinching goal to lead the Beacons to their second straight tournament appearance. Their first round game will be played on 05/11 against Stockton University in Galloway, NJ at 4:00PM. Full DIII bracket can be found HERE.

Western New England University – Division III – Jamaurie James (Penguins 2018), Tim Kolb (Penguins 2019), Ben Kolb (Penguins 2019)

WNEU also punched its ticket to the NCAA tournament by beating Endicott 18-10 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship. Ben Kolb registered a goal in the victory and the Golden Bears will play a second round game on 05/14 against #11 Lynchburg College in Union, NY at 3:00PM. Full DIII bracket can be found HERE.

Catholic University – Division III – Liam Hill (Penguins 2021)

Catholic will face St. John Fisher on Saturday, May 14th at 4:00PM. Full DIII bracket can be found HERE.
